Our principle

We collect the bare minimum, for a specific reason, and we never sell or share your data for commercial purposes. Ever.

Data we collect

Only two forms on this site collect data:

  • Newsletter sign-up: your email address, the site language and the sign-up date.
  • Contact form: your first name, email address, subject and the content of your message.

We also keep an anonymised technical fingerprint (a hashed IP address) to fight automated sign-ups. It cannot be used to identify you.

Purposes and legal basis

  • Sending the newsletter and the free guide: based on your explicit consent (tick box).
  • Handling your contact enquiry: based on your consent and our legitimate interest in replying to you.
  • Site security and spam prevention: legitimate interest.

Retention periods

  • Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe, then deleted within 30 days.
  • Contact messages: 24 months from the last exchange.
  • Anonymised security data: 12 months.

Recipients

Your data is hosted in France by O2switch and is accessible only to the people handling customer relations at Vitalipets.

No data is passed to data brokers, advertising networks or any third party for commercial purposes.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses no advertising cookies, no third-party trackers and no profiling tools.

It only uses your browser's local storage to remember two purely technical facts: that the sign-up window has already been shown to you, and that you have already subscribed. That information stays on your device and is never transmitted.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data.

To exercise those rights, write to contact@vitalipets.fr: we reply within 30 days at most. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).

Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link.

Purchases on Amazon

When you click a link to our store, you leave this site: Amazon's privacy policy then applies to your browsing and your order. We have no access to any of your payment data.
