The whole deer antler is the densest and longest-lasting chew toy in our range. It is a section of deer antler, simply cleaned, graded and sanded: no processing, nothing added.
Its structure is that of living bone: a very compact outer layer that resists chewing, and a spongy core — the marrow — that the dog reaches gradually, through sheer persistence. That explains its exceptional lifespan: where a standard treat disappears in ten minutes, a whole antler keeps a medium-sized dog going for several weeks, often several months.
In terms of composition, it naturally provides calcium, phosphorus, magnesium and collagen. It contains no free fat, no sugar, no grain and no processed meat protein: it is one of the few chew toys genuinely compatible with allergic or sensitive dogs.
One last advantage, and not a minor one for life at home: it is completely odourless and leaves no greasy marks on carpets, sofas or dog beds.

How to use it
Start with the right size: the piece must always be longer than your dog's muzzle. Refer to the size chart below, which is specific to this product. When in doubt, take the bigger size.
Introduce it gradually, especially if your dog has never had a hard chew toy:
- Days 1 to 3: 10 to 15 minutes per session, supervised
- Days 4 to 7: up to 30 minutes, once or twice a day
- After that: 20 to 45 minutes a day, in sessions rather than free access
If your dog shows little interest in the first days, run the piece under hot water for a few seconds: the moisture revives the scent and is usually enough to spark interest.
Put the chew toy away between sessions: offering it intermittently keeps motivation alive far longer than permanent access.

How long does a whole antler last?
For a medium-sized dog chewing around 20 minutes a day, expect 1 to 3 months. A particularly powerful chewer may get through it in 3 to 4 weeks: in that case, go one size up next time.
Is this product suitable for a puppy?
From 6 months and once the adult teeth are through, yes — but for a first experience, split antler is a better fit: the exposed marrow makes it instantly appealing and it asks less of the jaw.
Could my dog break a tooth?
The risk mainly concerns dogs that try to crush their treat rather than gnaw it. Match the hardness to the temperament: if your dog is a crusher, go for split antler, olive wood or coffee wood. Keep the first sessions to 10-15 minutes and supervise.
Do antlers smell?
No. Unlike dried ears or marrow bones, antler is completely odourless and contains no free fat: it stains neither carpets nor dog beds.
Are deer killed for this product?
No, never. Deer naturally shed their antlers every year at the end of winter and grow them back. Ours are collected from the forest floor after that natural shedding.
